Look out for Murphy!

Murphy's Law states that your equipment will breakdown at the worst possible moment and in the worst possible conditions. A good reason in itself to schedule regular maintenance, you can extend the life of your HVAC equipment and maybe even see the end coming. This would allow you to plan for the best possible time to perform major work such as an equipment change out.

Winter so foul.

This rooftop change out was on a snow covered building with a pitched roof. You can imagine how dangerous moving around on the rooftop was for our technicians. Bringing in the new unit and removing the old unit wasn't complicated as the snowy conditions did not effect the crane.

Our problem was in getting the job done in the safest possible way. The solution we used was to ferry our technicians up to the work site using a bucket truck. This greatly reduced the need to move around on slick, snow covered surfaces on the roof.

In the end we were able to safely replace the failed rooftop unit with a new one without any mishap or injuries. AEM Mechanical Services, Inc. has been doing Commercial rooftop work since 1985. Our experience not only gets the job done right, it gets the job done safely.
